I recently wrote this poem. I myself find it childish and sad.
Alien Child, oh, Alien Child,
why are you so lonely?
Alien Child, oh, Alien Child,
let the Moon comfort your sorrow and fear
The Moon, the Moon,
oh, dearest Moon,
do you cry for her?
Dear Moon, lovely Moon,
her sadness is deeper than the love I swear
Alien Child, oh, Alien Child,
sad, sad eyes in love with the Moon,
Alien Child, oh, Alien Child,
imaginary friends seem to have done you maroon
The Moon, the Moon,
so mysterious how humanity's emotions has fled,
Alien Child, oh, Alien Child,
how deeply your heart has bled
Alien Child, oh, Alien Child,
why are you so lonely?
